EPP Raw material

EPP (Expanded Polypropylene) is a polypropylene foam material, which is processed from polypropylene resin through a foaming agent and foaming process. EPP raw materials mainly include polypropylene resin, foaming agent, stabilizer and other additives.
1. Polypropylene resin: Polypropylene is a thermoplastic resin with good heat resistance, chemical resistance and mechanical properties. Polypropylene resin is the main component of EPP materials. It can expand and foam through the action of heat and pressure.
2. Foaming agent: Foaming agent is the key ingredient for expansion and foaming of EPP materials. Commonly used foaming agents include physical foaming agents and chemical foaming agents. Physical foaming agents are mainly low-boiling liquids or gases that release gas through the action of heat and pressure, causing the polypropylene resin to expand into a foam shape. Chemical foaming agents produce gas through chemical reactions under heating conditions, causing the polypropylene resin to expand.
3. Stabilizer: Stabilizer is mainly used to control the foaming speed and stability of EPP materials. It can adjust the release speed of the foaming agent to make the foaming process more uniform and stable.
4. Other additives: In addition to polypropylene resin, foaming agent and stabilizer, some other additives can also be added to EPP raw materials, such as reinforcing agents, flame retardants, antioxidants, etc., to improve the performance and characteristics of EPP materials. These additives can improve the strength, toughness, heat resistance, weather resistance, etc. of EPP materials.
